Speaker: Louise Arbour, President and CEO of The International Crisis Group

Venue: The Reform Club.

Canadian Louise Arbour is President & CEO of the Brussels-based International Crisis Group, the world's leading independent, non-partisan source of analysis and advice to governments, and intergovernmental bodies such as the United Nations, the European Union and the World Bank, on the prevention and resolution of deadly conflict.

Previously Ms.Arbour was United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights from 2004 to 2008 and before that, Chief Prosecutor for the International Criminal Tribunals for the former Yugoslavia and for Rwanda. In 1999, she was appointed to the Supreme Court of Canada.

Louise Arbour has a unique perspective on the world and a unique role in some of the most important issues of our day. We are thrilled that she has agreed to address The Canada Club. Several Board Members of the International Crisis Group will also join us on the night.

Tickets will go on sale in February 2010.
