Casket
Containing a portion of the Mace which was destroyed in the burning of
the Canadian House of Parliament at Ottawa in 1915 and presented to Sophia,
Countess Albemarle by the Prime Minister, Sir Robert Borden Bart.
The interest lies in the fact that when the mob broke into the House of
Commons in 1849 they carried the Mace in procession to the residence of
Sir Allan Napier Macnab, her father, then Prime Minister, and placed it
in his bed for safety.
Handseal
Turned Ivory Base metal seal of the Secretary of the Canada Club.
Gavel
Ivory pitched engraved Canada Club 1810.
